FRA is now inviting non-governmental organizations and other institutions of civil society, active in the field of fundamental rights at national, European or international level, to participate in the Fundamental Rights Platform. The Platform will be a network for cooperation and information exchange. It will act as the main channel for FRAs cooperation with civil society and intends to ensure close cooperation between the Agency and relevant stakeholders. The deadline for this first call for applications is 20 August. Read about the application procedure and selection criteria for the Fundamental Rights Platform on our website: http://fra.europa.eu/fra/index.php
We are also inviting civil society to give its suggestions regarding the Agency's work programme 2009 and feedback regarding the Agency's Annual Report 2008. The results of these consultations will feed into the strategic planning of the Agency, as well as into the preparation of the work programme 2009. The deadline for both consultations is 20 August. The consultation guidelines are available on the FRA website: http://fra.europa.eu/fra/index.php
